ShengxinYu Art

ShengxinyuArt was founded in 2002 by Zhang Hongbin, with Ji Yinglun serving as co-founder. As a cross-regional, cross-cultural international art promotion platform integrating art information, exhibition curation, international competition facilitation, and academic exchange, ShengxinyuArt has been dedicated since its inception to integrating Chinese figurative and realist art into the global art ecosystem, building internationally rigorous channels of dialogue and visibility for Chinese artists.

Academically, ShengxinyuArt has maintained sustained and substantive partnerships with leading art institutions and prestigious competitions in Europe and the United States. Since introducing the Florence Biennale to China in 2007, the platform has systematically brought over sixty internationally recognised biennials, art fairs, and competitions to Chinese audiences — including the Portrait Society of America Annual Competition, the Royal Society of Oil Painters, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the BP Portrait Award, the Spanish Figurative Painting and Sculpture Competition, and the ARC International Salon — providing Chinese artists with direct access to internationally benchmarked academic standards. To date, more than 4,000 Chinese artists have participated in international exhibitions and competitions through the ShengxinyuArt platform, with over 1,400 receiving awards or official selection across disciplines including oil painting, watercolour, and sculpture.

In the field of international watercolour, ShengxinyuArt serves as a co-organiser of the Le Venezie International Watercolor Festival, alongside the Clarence Bicknell Association (UK) and the Italian Cultural and Artistic Exchange Association, forming the core institutional framework of the festival. Co-founder Ji Yinglun serves as Secretary-General of the festival's organising committee, overseeing entries, exhibitions, and academic outreach across the Chinese region. ShengxinyuArt has also established a dedicated nomination award that introduces a distinctly Chinese institutional perspective and aesthetic sensibility into the international judging process. The platform has further independently conceived and co-organised prestigious international competitions including the Titian Painting Competition and the Velázquez Painting and Sculpture Competition, assembling juries of international standing and establishing its own academic authority within the global figurative art discourse.

ShengxinyuArt's WeChat public account has published international art news without interruption since 2015, accumulating nearly 5.5 million views over six years, and has become one of the most important professional information channels through which Chinese artists access developments in the global art world. Over more than two decades, under the leadership of founder Zhang Hongbin and co-founder Ji Yinglun, ShengxinyuArt has made a lasting institutional contribution to broadening the international horizons of Chinese realist artists and to advancing the presence of Chinese art on the world stage.
