About the Artist

Jorge Swinnen is an Argentine watercolor artist and architect born in Mercedes, Buenos Aires Province. Having trained as an architect, he brings a keen structural sensibility to his art, and has since devoted himself entirely to watercolor painting and teaching. He is a member of Croquiseros Urbanos de Buenos Aires, a collective dedicated to urban sketching. His work is primarily figurative, yet increasingly guided by an inner pursuit of light, atmosphere, and mood — qualities that transcend mere documentation and transform the depicted scene into something felt as much as seen. His paintings have been exhibited and awarded in both national and international competitions.
