Monastero - Comunità di Marango

The "Little Family of the Resurrection" is a monastic community founded at Pentecost 1984 in the Diocese of Venice by the initiative of Father Giorgio Scatto, a diocesan priest, and under the paternal and wise guidance of Patriarch Marco Cè.
From the beginning of its journey, it adopted the monastic rule received by Father Giorgio from Father Giuseppe Dossetti, with whom he lived for a whole year in Jerusalem.

The gift of the rule was authoritatively confirmed with the monastic profession of Father Giorgio on November 24, 1987, before Patriarch Marco. Since then, to emphasize the family's full integration into the diocesan Church, the liturgy of profession has always been presided over by the bishop. The rule and statutes were approved by Patriarch Marco Cè on April 29, 1993, the feast of Saint Catherine of Siena.

Card. Angelo Scola, on March 25, 2004, the solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, with a patriarchal decree, recognized the community as a "Public Association of the Faithful".
